A 50 meter mural designed and installed with the young people of Lambeth.

Workshops took place at Vauxhall Primary School, Octavia House (specialists in education and therapy for pupils who have suffered adverse childhood experiences) and The Black Prince Trust.

Community involvement is a vital part of the design process even once the workshops are completed. From the outcomes of the workshop, 3 designs were created. These designs were then voted on by over 200 local young people.

The final design by Ellie Fryer incorporated British nature and folklore with mythology from African diaspora culture, allowing children to creatively play with imagery that makes them feel included and let their imaginations run wild!

Supported through Lambeth Council’s Child Friendly Lambeth programme.
